At the early stage of a project, I join the team in capturing business needs, gathering requirements and aligning project scopes with the stakeholders. Then, we propose a project timeline and provide effort estimation.
To identify underlying problems and discover unmet user needs, we conduct user research. I help UX researchers to gather insights, synthesis research findings and prioritise problems. Finally, we recommend an actionable solution after careful evaluation of the effort and value needed for each possible approach.

Running workshops is a quick method to get internal alignment by involving them in the process. I facilitate ideation workshops to explore the solution space and to co-create with our customers, end-users or the project team. At the end of the session, one final wireframe set that met the needs of all parties is created. I use Adobe XD to craft mid-fidelity mockups and clickable prototypes.
Feedback is important for us to make iterative improvements to our deliverables. Regardless of the fidelity of my design, I validate our design solution via heuristic evaluation, concept testings with business users, design reviews with stakeholders and usability testings with the end-users.

Move fast to deliver value
In Agile development sprints, I work with Product Owner to plan product evolution, create product backlog and prioritise user stories. During sprint planning, I act as the voice for users to guide product decisions. Together with the team, we define logics, estimate development efforts and technical approaches.
When there is a need, I assist in front-end development by coding my designs in HTML5 & CSS3. Else, I oversee UI developers’ progress to ensure design intents (responsiveness, compatibility, accessibility, UI element states and screen states) are maintained throughout the development cycle.
Occasionally, I create UAT test cases and user guides, help out with vendors evaluation, prepare interface specification and API specification within my capacity and technical capability. I have worked on hybrid or responsive web applications that build on Angular framework, Ionic framework or OutSystem framework.
